Call for Applications
The Leukaemia Foundation calls for applications to the following grants, fellowships and scholarships.
Applicants who wish to be considered for the CLL Research Initiative or the CLL8 Roche Personalised Healthcare opportunity should indicate this in the space provided on each application form.
Grants-in-Aid
Up to $100,000/annum for one year only.
It is anticipated that least five Grants-in-Aid may be offered in 2011.

Clinical Trial Grant
Up to $200,000/annum for up to three years
It is anticipated that 1 Clinical Trial Grant may be offered in 2011.

Postdoctoral Fellowship
$100,000 (75% salary + 25% consumables)/annum.
It is anticipated that one Postdoctoral Fellowship will be offered in 2011. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to apply for up to two extensions subject to satisfactory annual progress.

Career Establishment Grant (NSW/ACT only)
$50,000/annum for a maximum of 3 years
One Career Establishment Grant will be offered in 2011 to a recently qualified haematologist taking up their first staff specialist appointment in a NSW/ACT Teaching Hospital

PhD Scholarships
$40,000 ($30,000 stipend + $10,000 consumables)/annum for three years.
It is anticipated that least five PhD Scholarships may be offered in 2011.

PhD Scholarships (Clinical)
$55,000 ($45,000 stipend + $10,000 consumables)/annum for three years
Candidates will be expected to have completed, or almost completed, their advanced medical training in haematology. It is anticipated that at least two PhD Scholarships (Clinical) may be offered in 2011.
This scholarship has replaced the Clinical Fellowship previously offered.

New Investigators Grant (WA only)
Up to $10,000/annum for one year only.
Candidates will be based in a West Australian research or medical institution in the early stages of their careers in the field of medicine, science, nursing or allied health.

Dominic Di Giacomo Honours Scholarship (WA only)
$10,000 ($5,000 stipend + $5,000 consumables)
One Honours scholarship will be offered to students undertaking an Honours year research project in 2011 in a West Australian research institution.
