Taking Control
This general program is designed to help with the diagnosis, treatment and recovery process of leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. This workshop addresses the health and wellbeing of patients, families and carers and includes presentations from clinical staff, dietitians, exercise specialists and more.
Getting Back into Life
Getting back into life is designed as a follow up to Taking Control. This program addresses issues experienced by patients and their carers once treatment has been completed.
Caring for the Carer
The Leukaemia Foundation recognises that caring for a loved one with leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, aplastic anaemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, amyloidosis and other related blood disorders can be a frightening and lonely experience.
A four week program has been developed and designed especially for carers. This program provides a great opportunity for carers to meet each other, share and exchange ideas, look at coping strategies and enjoy a little pampering.
Look Good...Feel Better
Look Good...Feel Better is a workshop held on a regular basis for women, men and teenagers who are undergoing treatment for cancer. Run by volunteer beauty therapists, the program gives participants useful advice on how to manage the changes that may occur to their skin, hair and general appearance as a result of their treatment.
