Practical assistance
Leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders can significantly affect patients and families normal way of life and there may be practical things the Leukaemia Foundation can do to help.
By working with patients, the doctors and social workers, we can find out the best way to care for patients and their families. Practical support includes accommodation, transport or in special circumstances, financial assistance.
This financial support is assessed on an individual basis and may be provided for patients who are experiencing financial difficulties. This is not means tested.
The “Application for assistance” form is available through your local Leukaemia Foundation Support Services staff or alternatively through the social/welfare worker in certain locations.
Please call our Support Services local staff on 1800 620 420 (or see the contact us page for state-specific phone numbers) to discuss.
